Now that Prince William is a dad, he’s making a career change, as well! On Thursday, Kensington Palace announced in a statement that the Duke of Cambridge will be leaving the armed forces after seven and a half years.
Since he’s not in the military anymore, William will become a “full-time Royal.” Working with Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, he will consider options for public service, and plans to “expand his work in the field of conservation, particularly in respect to endangered species.”
Besides charity work, though, Prince William will also focus on family life with Kate and their newborn son, Prince George. The statement adds that the trio will move into their permanent home at Kensington Palace “within the next few weeks.”
