“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular superheroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some,” explained Warner Bros.’ president of creative development and worldwide production. “His outstanding career is a testament to his talent.”
To prepare for the role, the Oscar winner has reportedly been getting in shape by working out two hours a day.
At Comic-Con, Warner Bros. announced that Superman and Batman would battle one another in the Man of Steel sequel. The film is due out in July 2015. Check out the video below for more details:
