It’s been almost three weeks since Amanda Bynes was hospitalized for a psych evaluation, and still, no definitive results regarding her condition have been released. The actress is rumored to have shown signs of schizophrenia, but it looks like her mother, who was recently granted a temporary conservatorship over the 27-year-old, wants an opinion from the best experts around.
Wearing a blue wig and covering herself in a white blanket, Amanda was photographed leaving her psychiatric facility in Ventura County to be transferred to UCLA Medical Center. The hospital has one of the best psych facilities in the country, which is reportedly why the former Nickelodeon star’s mother wanted her moved.
Doctors will continue to perform tests to evaluate the troubled starlet’s condition. She was admitted to the hospital on a 5150 hold back on July 23, after she set fire to a residential driveway in California. Although Amanda and her lawyer tried to fight it, a judge ruled that her stay be extended for 30 days for a further evaluation. Even if she is released from the hospital within those 30 days, though, her parents’ temporary conservatorship will be in effect until Sept. 30, at which time another hearing will occur to determine whether or not it should be extended.
