The bouncers at hot nightclubs must get around to watching girly, comedy movies that often. Or at least one bouncer — who denied Rebel Wilson access into her pal and Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Kendrick’s birthday party!
“It was a fancy place,” Rebel explained in an interview. “So I get there with Hana Mae Lee from Pitch Perfect, and I’ve got a birthday gift, so I’m clearly going to the party, and this big, huge bouncer wouldn’t even look us in the face. We were like ‘Hi…’ and then two models came and he let them in.”
Although Rebel may play a sassy character on the big screen, she took the situation with a grain of salt. “I didn’t pull the Reese Witherspoon,” she laughed, referring to when Reese asked a police officer if he knew who she was. Instead, the funny actress explained that she was on the list for the party, and eventually the bouncer checked and let her in.
In the interview, the 27-year-old also revealed an embarrassing moment from when she first got to the USA and met up with Jason Segal for lunch. “I thought, I’ll try and look my best, so I wore my best leather jacket,” she said. “When I sat down, a sharp edge on the chair snagged my jacket and it just ripped. I was devastated, but trying to hide it because I didn’t want to ruin the lunch. I’m always ripping clothing! It’s so embarrassing.”
If you aren’t getting the full image just picturing these funny moments, don’t worry — Rebel reenacts them on her show Super Fun Night, coming to CBS this fall!
