After less than a month of mourning her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, Lea Michele is back at work on the set of Glee, where the couple met in 2009. The actress posted a photo of herself on-set Tuesday it what appears to be a lonely and somber scene. “Feels so good to be home… #GleeSeason5,” she captioned the pic.
Despite losing Cory, production on the show is back in full swing, at Lea’s request to get the cast back together sooner rather than later following the 31-year-old’s sudden death on July 13. The crew began rehearsals and fittings last Thursday, and on Monday, Lea was spotted leaving a recording studio. Afterwards, she tweeted about the “beautiful and perfect” song she started out the season with, although she did not reveal what song it was.
The first two episodes of Glee Season 5 will be Beatles-themed, as planned before this summer’s tragedy. The third episode, though, will address the death of Cory’s character, Finn Hudson, and be a tribute to the late actor. Additionally, the cast will address drug addiction in the episode and in PSA’s throughout the show. Cory died of an accidental overdose on a mixture of heroin and alcohol.
Glee returns on Sept. 26.
