Is there a new group of Bling Ringers out there? Paris Hilton must be having some serious deja vu after a group of girls broke into her house over the weekend and attempted to steal personal items from her bedroom.
The break-in happened during a going away party that the socialite was throwing in her gated, Malibu home. Uninvited guests reportedly snuck into Paris’ bedroom and stole bikinis, Paris Hilton handbags, and some framed pictures. When the thieves were spotted, they dropped their findings and ran. Later, a valet found the items down the street and turned them over to the cops.
This new crew wasn’t as sneaky as the group that inspired the 2013 movie The Bling Ring after stealing things from celebrity homes in 2008-2009. During that time, Paris reportedly had $2 million worth of jewelry stolen right from her home, amongst other expensive possessions. She addressed the situation on Twitter after Saturday’s incident. “I have bad luck when it comes to thieves…,” she wrote. “They tried to steal my new collection of @PHpurses from my Malibu house.”
Despite the numerous break-ins, Paris admitted earlier this summer that she doesn’t plan on moving from her gated community. Hmm…maybe she’ll start rethinking that now that the nightmare is starting up again…
