The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple was released from court on $500,000 bail bonds each, but they face more than 50 years in prison pending the results of their August hearing. Despite the tough times, though, Teresa has stood by her “not guilty” plea, and even took time to recognize her supporters on Twitter.
“Thank you all so so much for your love and support. It means the world to me and my family! TANTI BACI Xx,” she wrote, Wednesday. After retweeting a bunch of supportive comments, she added, “I wish I could hug you all right now. Xx.”
Besides the expensive bail bonds, Teresa and Joe were required to hang over their passports, and ordered to not leave New York or New Jersey. It was also revealed that Joe is technically not a United States citizen, and he could be deported back to Italy if he’s convicted in this case.
