Amanda Bynes‘ mental state is finally being evaluated! The troubled actress reportedly started a small fire in someone’s driveway on Monday night, and was hospitalized on a 5150 hold. That means she was admitted involuntarily for mental evaluation, although she can only be held for 72 hours.
When the sheriff questioned Amanda regarding the fire, they determined she needed to be hospitalized based on her answers. The hospitalization comes months after the troubled actress started exhibiting strange behavior, which she’s kept up in the form of her appearance and puzzling tweets.
Amanda is currently visiting her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif., which is where the fire took place. She got into some trouble on Sunday night, as well, when cops were called to a retirement home where she was reportedly trespassing. Management originally turned Amanda away from the home, where she said she was visiting a relative, but when she didn’t have enough money for a cab, she returned, and the cops were called. She allegedly appeared drunk while approaching the retirement community.
Although Amanda wasn’t arrested for the trespassing incident, she’s definitely having a lot of trouble avoiding the law these days. She’ll appear in court again on Aug. 26, facing charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and marijuana possession. She’s previously tweeted that all of these charges are false, and that her lawyer will be fighting them.
Looks like she’s going to have a few more things to add to the list after these recent events…
