There’s no doubt that the entire Glee cast and crew is suffering following the recent passing of Cory Monteith, but one of the stars, Jane Lynch, kept up appearances and showed up to her scheduled interview on The Tonight Show. During her interview with Jay Leno, Jane spoke fondly of her co-star.
“He was always aware that it was a gift,” Jane explained, while tearing up. “And he was quite generous and one of those adventurous types of people.” She also added that Cory was a “really bright light” with one of the “biggest hearts.”
To fully explain the kind of guy Cory was, Jane told a story about how the actor, using his own money, flew across the country to see a fan whose dying wish was to meet him. Check out the full interview:
Cory passed away suddenly on Saturday, at the age of 31, from a “mixed drug toxicity” that involved heroin and alcohol. He was cremated on Tuesday after his mother, brother and girlfriend Lea Michele partook in one last, private viewing. His family and Lea are currently making funeral arrangements.
