Cory Monteith's Autopsy Results Coming Soon Due to Public Interest

Cory Monteith

Cory Monteith’s sudden death over the weekend shocked the world, and due to the vast public interest surrounding his passing, his autopsy results are reportedly coming sooner than usual.

Police said that the cause of Cory’s death was not immediately known, although foul play was ruled out at the scene. The Glee star reportedly went out with some friends on Friday night, before returning to his hotel room in Vancouver alone. When he missed his checkout time, hotel employees found him lifeless in his room, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Cory’s toxicology report is being expedited, and results are expected to be given in 2 to 3 days. The coroner is due to perform the actor’s autopsy Monday, July 15.

Cory’s Glee co-star and real life girlfriend Lea Michele was not with him in Vancouver, and is asking for “privacy during this devastating time.” Glee is set to begin filming in just a few weeks, but changes to the show’s schedule will likely be made in Cory’s absence, considering he was set to return to the show in Season 5 (Cory missed the final few episodes of Season 4 due to a voluntary stay in rehab for substance abuse).
