Yep, it’s official now — John Mayer and Katy Perry are totally back on! Although the couple has been spotted together several times since their split in the Spring, they both confirmed their relationship status over the holiday weekend.
First, Katy posted a photo of the couple wearing matching, patriotic outfits on the Fourth of July, while holding one another in an adorable embrace. On Saturday, John kicked off his first tour since undergoing throat surgery in August 2012, and took a moment on stage (yep, in front of all those people) to personally give his lady love a shout out.
The crooner commended Katy to his audience for being so patient with him after the surgery, while “taking the time to continue to get to know me and love me.” He went a step further after that by dedicating the song “A Face to Call Home” to his on-again girlfriend, adding, “to Katy, who is my face to call home.” Whoa!
John and Katy started dating last summer, but split in August before reconciling in the fall — will they stick it out this time around?!
