Monday was a big day for Selena Gomez — the singer finally had a song reach No. 1 on the charts! Luckily for us, the moment that Selena found out “Come and Get It” hit the top spot was all recorded on video and uploaded to YouTube.
“This has been 1 of my proudest achievements & I couldn’t do it without everyone! So grateful,” she tweeted, with the video link. In the clip, we see a man showing Selena the charts on an iPhone, and while it takes her a second to process what she’s looking at, she eventually gets overwhelmed with emotion over the news.
The next few moments show Selena taking a seat while tearing up, and at the end, the singer gives a genuine message to her fans, thanking them for getting the song to where it is.
It’s taken Selena three albums to get her first No. 1, and her fourth studio album will be release on July 23.
Make sure to tune into NBC on July 4th to see her perform her NEW single “Slow Down” for the Fourth of July special. Who knows, maybe it’ll be her next No. 1!
