Eva Longoria Gets Her Masters: Check Out 10 Other Celeb College Grads

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is a grad school graduate! After wrapping up a weekend at the Cannes Film Festival, the actress announced via Twitter on Wednesday that she graduated with her master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University.

“You’re never too old or too busy to continue your education!” she added, with the announcement.

Before receiving her master’s, Eva graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kineseology from Texas A&M University, and just getting a college degree in general is a major feat for a busy celebrity. Check out our list of 10 others who found the time to pursue their greater education!

Starting in 1999, Natalie Portman took a four-year semi-break from acting to focus on her education. She graduated from Harvard University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This one’s a doozy. James Franco originally dropped out of UCLA to pursue acting, but went back in 2006, at age 28, to continue his education. After taking many more than the suggested amount of credits per semester, he graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in English. After that, he moved to New York, and enrolled in Columbia University’s MFA writing program, Brooklyn College (creative writing) and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (directing).

He ended up receiving his master’s from Columbia, and eventually earned a phD in English from Yale University. Wow.
