Top 10 Performances of the Billboard Music Awards!

The Billboard Music Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate music, and that means tons of live performances from the year’s biggest artists. This year’s show on Sunday, May 19 brought stars like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber to the stage, for an array of anticipated numbers.

After reviewing all the performances, we’ve ranked our top 10 of the night. Check ’em all out here!

10. Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera – “Feel This Moment”

Christina recently debuted a hot, new figure, and she showed her slim bod off during her BBMA performance. Unfortunately, although Xtina looked amazing, the number as a whole lacked the energy and pizazz we’re used to seeing from a Pitbull performance, which is why it falls so low on the list.

9. The Band Perry – “Done”

The Band Perry’s sass-filled performance was definitely enough to keep the audience’s attention, but because the siblings aren’t as well-known as some of the other artists who took the stage, they aren’t necessarily one of the most memorable groups of the night.

8. Selena Gomez – “Come and Get It”

Selena looked hot and owned the stage while singing “Come and Get It.” The only problem is, the performance was just about the same as the other 10 live television performances she’s done of the same song over the last month…

7. Justin Bieber – “Take You”

We’ve seen better from the Biebs…and we’ve seen worse from the Biebs. The nice part about this performance is that Bieber hasn’t done a number on TV for a while, so it was cool to see him do a song most of us haven’t seen him perform before.

6. Ed Sheeran – “Lego House”

It’s pretty amazing that Ed can captivate an arena full of people as well as a live TV audience with just his voice and an acoustic guitar. Plus, this song is pretty amazing.

5. Bruno Mars – “Treasure”

Props to Bruno for not being predictable and performing a song like “Locked Out of Heaven” or “When I Was Your Man.” Plus, his energized performance was a great way to open the show.

4. Chris Brown – “Fine China”

As much as we love to hate Chris, there’s no denying that his performance was captivating and fun, with the perfect mix of singing and dancing. It’s also pretty cool that he brought out Orianthi to play guitar!

3. Miguel – “Adorn”

Any performance that results in an artist landing on an audience member’s head has to be pretty memorable…which is exactly what happened during Miguel’s set on Sunday! Luckily, the fan was okay after the singer’s passionate crowd dive.

2. Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull – “#LiveItUp”

A high-energy, dance-filled performance with a sexy outfit is exactly what we expect from Jennifer…and she didn’t disappoint. The 43-year-old mom of two proved she’s still got it with her rockin’ BBMA performance.

1. Taylor Swift – “22”

A lot of things went into making this the number one performance of the night. First, it was Taylor’s first time performing “22” on TV. Second, she was introduced to the stage by her BFF Selena. Third, the performance took place backstage AND onstage. Fourth, T.Swift wore a t-shirt with a unicorn printed on it.

Overall, the country-pop cutie delivered a fun, carefully-choreographed performance that will have a lot of people rewinding their DVRs to re-watch it.
