Ben Affleck is taking drastic measures to raise awareness about poverty. The Oscar winning actor is participating in the annual Live Below the Line initiative of feeding himself on only $1.50 per day.

In doing this, Ben hopes to teach his fans about global poverty, and he’s even encouraging his Twitter followers to join in. “1.4 billion people live on less than $1.50/day. I’m joining Live #BelowTheLine on behalf of @easterncongo. Will you?” he tweeted.

Other stars taking the challenge include Sophia Bush and Josh Groban. They’ll begin their five day quest on April 29 and join celebs like Hugh Jackman and Minka Kelly who’ve previously taken part in this campaign.
